Created By: Hyprowira | Published Date: 08 September 2022 | Last Modified: 08 September 2022

According to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry Ministerial Regulation No. 29 of 2020 article 23 paragraph (1), which reads that the person in charge of businesses and/or activities that use PCBs and/or generate PCBs waste must identify the Transformers, Capacitors, and/or Dielectric Oil as referred to in Article 5 until Article 12 no later than December 31, 2022.

Therefore, according to Article 23 paragraph (2), which reads that Transformers, Capacitors, and Dielectric Oils which are not identified by the time limit as referred to in paragraph (1) must be managed in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

Then if the person in charge of the business that produces PCBs waste does not identify it before the predetermined deadline of December 31, 2028, then it is obligatory to remove PCBs and must carry out B3 waste management in accordance with the provisions of the legislation (PERMEN KLHK, 2020).
