Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) are hazardous and toxic materials which are aromatic hydrocarbon compounds belonging to organochlorines and are persistent. PCBs are hazardous and toxic materials with the classification prohibited from being used, they are still found in transformers, capacitors, and dielectric oil (source), so management efforts need to be made. This management effort is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia (Permen LHK RI) Number 29 of 2020. The presence of PCBs in sources of transformers, capacitors and dielectric oil can be identified in three ways, namely visual tests, rapid tests, and laboratory tests. In rapid tests and laboratory tests, the PCBs concentration values ??will be issued. The limit value of PCBs concentration in dielectric oil is 50 ppm, if the concentration value in dielectric oil is less than 50 ppm then the dielectric oil can be excluded from management, if it is more then management must be carried out which includes retrofilling, storage, and processing.
