PCBs Content in Transformer Oil Testing in Laboratorium according to IEC 61619
LAB Test PCBs
PCBs are chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons which have persistent properties and are most widely used in electrical equipment such as transformers. Therefore, with the nature of being insoluble in water and endangering the environment, it is necessary to test PCBs on transformer/dielectric oil.
In this context, PCBs testing is carried out by laboratory testing using a GC ECD tool with the IEC 61619 method to obtain PCBs concentration information through testing the total concentration of PCBs compounds with a limit of 50 ppm based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.29/MENLHK/SETJEN /PLB.3/12/2020 on PCBs.
