Hygiene Level Testing – Manual Calculation Using a Microscope – ISO 4407
Category: Laboratory
Hygiene Level Testing uses a special method used to determine the level of particle contamination in the liquid in the hydraulic system by counting the number of particles on the surface of the filter membrane using a microscope.
The calculated particle sizes consist of: >2µm, >5µm, >15µm, >25µm, >50µm, >100µm.
Hygiene level testing can use the ISO 4407 method, and for the calculation results use the standard for determining the cleanliness level code: ISO 4406, NAS 1638, SAE AS 4059.
