REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF ENVIRONMENT AND FORESTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA NUMBER P.29/MENLHK/SETJEN/PLB.3/12/2020 CONCERNING MANAGEMENT OF POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS has been issued since December 29, 2020, which states that the person in charge of businesses and/or activities using PCBs and/or activities has been issued or produce PCBs Waste must identify the Transformer, Capacitor, and/or Dielectric Oil as referred to in Article 5 to Article 12, no later than December 31, 2022.

The results of the identification determine whether it is necessary to manage transformers or capacitors containing PCBs exceeding the specified limits. Management activities can be in the form of retrofilling, processing and storage. PT HYPROWIRA ADHITAMA held a Free Webinar with the title “How to Identify and Process PCBs in Dielectric Oil Based on Ministry of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 29 of 2020” on 22 February 2022, pk. 10.00 WIB. The speakers for the webinar were: Ai Sri Indrawati (Technical Coordinator, PT Hyprowira Adhitama Laboratory) and Asep Mulyadi (PT Ecoverse Indonesia Lestari). In this webinar, Prof. Kim Jong Guk (Chonbuk University) who came from Korea also had the opportunity to share information about PCBs management in Korea.
