A special opportunity was given to PT HYPROWIRA ADHITAMA on December 12, 2024 to participate in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Strategic Alignment of PCBs Management and PCBs Swab Test Sampling Practices, organized by PT PLN UI Eastern Indonesia.

On that occasion, PT HYPROWIRA ADHITAMA shared knowledge on how to take PCBs swab test samples. The participants received a technical explanation regarding the sampling method in accordance with the standards that have been set according to Permen LHK No. 29 of 2020. This technique includes the procedure for taking samples from the surface of empty transformers suspected of containing PCBs, conducting correct sampling, and controlling data quality to ensure valid and accurate results. The participants also practiced how to take PCBs swab test samples.

With this FGD, it is expected that all stakeholders can agree on concrete steps in managing PCBs, as well as increasing technical capacity in taking swab test samples. Good collaboration between various parties is the key to creating a healthier environment free from the negative impacts of PCBs.
