On October 11 2023, PT Hyprowira Adhitama and Mettler Toledo held a Seminar with the theme "BOILER WATER QUALITY MONITORING" at the NOVOTEL Hotel, SOLO. As speakers were FAUZANI MARJANA, Account Manager LAB PT Mettler Toledo Indonesia and GO MICHAEL YOSHUA, as Sales Engineer Process Analytics PT Mettler Toledo Indonesia. Meanwhile, the moderator is METALIA ANDARINI, Head of the Hyprowira Adhitama Laboratory.
This seminar discusses boiler water quality affecting the efficiency, reliability and safety of boilers and their components. So it is necessary to monitor boiler water quality which can be done by measuring the chemical and physical properties of the water used in the boiler system. Some general parameters that need to be monitored are: oxygen, total dissolved solids (TDS), conductivity and pH, etc. Meanwhile, the choice of instrument depends on the boiler capacity and can be done online, with an analyzer or in the laboratory. And the analysis results must be able to show the actual condition of the system. So good knowledge is needed in selecting test equipment, both in terms of accuracy and reliability of the equipment in relation to system conditions.
Another interesting thing is that the participants were able to see firsthand how the tools needed work because on this occasion there were also tool demos, one of which was DCC (Degassed Cation Conductivity).
